Year 5 Enjoy a Taste of Spain!

Year 5 pupils at Leicester High School for Girls enjoyed a fun-filled Spanish Day, bringing Spanish culture to life through art, dance and traditional games.
The day was part of their new Cornerstones project, A Tale of Two Settlements, exploring the differences between the city of Barcelona and the village of Alquézar.
The girls created human pyramids inspired by the Catalan tradition of castells, produced colourful Spanish-inspired paintings, played traditional games and even tried their hand at flamenco dancing!
The day ended with a special event for parents, where the girls shared what they had learnt.
Pippa, who organised the day, said: "I wanted them to experience a little Spanish culture for themselves, and it was wonderful to see them embracing every activity with such enthusiasm."
A fantastic day of creativity, teamwork and learning beyond the classroom!
