Candlelight Carol Service at Leicester High School for Girls

Leicester High School for Girls hosted its much-loved Candlelight Carol Service at St James the Greater Church, bringing together the school community for one of the most anticipated events in the School calendar.
Shaped by the School’s inclusive values, the service celebrated the strength and diversity of our school family. This festive tradition also offered pupils an important opportunity to build confidence, practise public speaking, develop leadership skills, and perform in front of a large audience.
A highlight of the evening was welcoming back alumnae, whose continued involvement reflects the strong sense of belonging that defines Leicester High School for Girls. After the service, guests enjoyed refreshments and time to connect.
Headteacher Mr John Partridge said:
“The Candlelight Carol Service is a treasured tradition that brings our community together, and I would like to thank everyone who joined us for such a memorable occasion.”
We wish all members of our school a peaceful and joyful Christmas season. 🎄✨
