Brilliance Festival and Summer Fete Celebrate a Fantastic Year

Families came together for our inaugural Brilliance Festival, followed by our Summer Fete – a wonderful afternoon celebrating everything our pupils have achieved this year.
From 1.30pm, Senior School parents were invited to explore the incredible work taking place across the school. Girls proudly shared their learning through engaging STEM activities, TED-style talks, art and Food & Nutrition displays, sporting demonstrations, performances in the gym and interactive "Show and Tell" sessions, where they explained projects and work they had completed throughout the year.
The celebrations then continued with our whole-school Summer Fete, bringing together families from both the Junior and Senior Schools, alongside members of the local community.
There was something for everyone to enjoy, from browsing the summer market stalls and meeting the much-loved miniature donkeys to trying traditional fete games, including the coconut shy, and taking part in activities on the tennis courts. Visitors also enjoyed delicious refreshments, including fresh strawberries, alcohol-free Pimms and refreshing juices.
Music filled the air throughout the afternoon, with wonderful performances from both the Junior and Senior Choirs, while families caught up with one another and enjoyed the vibrant community atmosphere.
It was a fantastic way to celebrate another successful year at Leicester High School for Girls, showcasing not only the achievements of our pupils but also the warm, supportive community that makes our school so special.
A huge thank you goes to all the staff, pupils and stallholders who helped make the afternoon such a memorable success.
