Celebrating GCSE Success at Leicester High School for Girls

Following last week’s outstanding A-Level results, Leicester High School for Girls is delighted to celebrate another excellent set of results, this time for its Year 11 girls.
Overall, 28% of all grades awarded were the very top grade 9, with 45% at grades 9–8 and 64% at grades 9–7.
Amongst the many individual successes were exceptional performances from pupils achieving ten grade 9s – a remarkable accomplishment and testament to their hard work and dedication.
There were also some particularly impressive subject results. In Biology, 77% of grades were 9–8 and 100% were grade 7 or above, while in Physics, 77% were grades 9–8 and 92% were grade 7 or above. English also performed strongly, with 57% of grades at 9–8 and 70% at grade 7 or above.
The results reflect not only strong academic achievement, but the excellent progress made across the year group, with the cohort outperforming their target grades overall.
Head, John Partridge, commented:
“We are incredibly proud of our Year 11 girls. These results reflect their hard work, determination and resilience, and it is wonderful to see exceptional individual achievements alongside such strong results across the year group. Coming just a week after our outstanding A-Level results, today is another reminder of what our girls can achieve at Leicester High. As our Year 11 girls look ahead to Sixth Form, they do so with an excellent foundation and the confidence to build on everything they have achieved”
He added:
“We are excited to see what the next two years will bring and look forward to celebrating their future successes"
Leicester High School for Girls congratulates all of its Year 11 girls on their achievements and thanks the staff and families whose encouragement and support have helped them reach this important milestone.
