Pupils at Leicester High School for Girls enjoyed the opportunity to try lacrosse during a lunchtime session on Monday.
The session was led by Moni Gomez, who plays lacrosse for Loughborough University and has also progressed in trials representing Spain.
For many pupils, it was their first time trying the sport. Girls from across the School took part, showing strong early skills in throwing and catching. Staff also joined in, helping to create a lively and supportive atmosphere.
The session was so successful that lacrosse will now take place every Monday lunchtime during the summer term.
Moni said, "The girls picked up the throwing and catching skills really quickly, and there was such a positive atmosphere. I’m looking forward to seeing their confidence grow each week.
One pupil said: “I loved it and I cannot wait for the next session.”
Leicester High School for Girls gives pupils the chance to experience new sports, learn new skills and enjoy being active together during the school day.
