Senior Talent Show 2025

Leicester High School for Girls was filled with music, laughter and applause as the annual Senior Talent Show took centre stage, celebrating the creativity and confidence of students across the Senior School.
Organised and run by Sixth Form pupils, the event provided an opportunity for students to showcase their talents in front of a large audience. From solo singing and dance to original poetry performances, the show reflected the wide range of abilities within the School community.
The standout performance of the evening came from Form 6 pupil Sienna, whose rendition of Defying Gravity was spine-tingling and met with rapturous applause. In a surprise addition, the Head of Maths brought a touch of magic to the event with a fun and light-hearted magic show that delighted the crowd.
Headmaster Alan Whelpdale praised the event and the students who made it happen:
"We're so proud of all the students who participated. The Talent Show was a celebration of creativity and talent within our School community. It was wonderful to see girls perform with confidence in front of a large and appreciative audience. This was LHS at its best."
As well as providing a platform for performance, the event helped to strengthen the sense of community within the school and gave Sixth Form pupils valuable experience in leadership and event planning.
The School looks forward to building on this success in next year’s show.
