Year 11 had a great day out at the end of their mock exams, sampling food and drink from different food cultures in one of London's liveliest localities. Bangladeshi, Taiwanese, Ghanaian and European Jewish dishes were all on the menu, with time to browse a few of the many other cuisines on offer at the end of the tour.
GCSE and A Level Music students visited local residential home, South Lodge with Mrs Parrans-Smith.
Year 10 Drama students had a busy last week of term, performing their pantomime first to an excited Year 6 audience and then travelling to North Kilworth Primary School to perform to students there.
We are delighted to have come in the Top 100 of Independent Secondary Schools, and in the Top 5 in the East Midlands, in the Sunday Times Parent Power League Table!
We are saddened to learn that John Allen, a serving Governor and valued member of the LHS community, has sadly passed away following a short illness.
Britain has had a Poet Laureate since 1668, when King Charles II appointed John Dryden. The holder of the post often writes poetry for royal events and national occasions. As part of our commitment to providing opportunities for students to show excellence and to broaden our cultural experiences, we are proud to introduce to you a new student leadership role at Leicester High School.
