During the Spring term, 147 girls from Years 6-12 submitted entries for this year’s Rotary Club of Leicester’s Young Writers prose competition “A Different Perspective”.

During the Spring term, 147 girls from Years 6-12 submitted entries for this year’s Rotary Club of Leicester’s Young Writers prose competition “A Different Perspective”.
This term, the whole of Year 7 have participated in this year’s national Read for Good sponsored event within their English lessons, reading for pleasure in order to raise money for charity and, in the process, earn free books for Leicester High School too!
During the first half of this Spring term, 94 students from Years 3-10 submitted poems they had written to celebrate the forthcoming wedding of Prince Harry to Meghan Markle for the national Rotary competition.
On Monday Year Foundation braved the cold to visit West Lodge Farm Park in order to look for signs of Spring.
We were delighted to host several girls from local primary schools to attend Masterclasses in Geography and Philosophy and Belief.
On Thursday 15 March, Leicester High School for Girls welcomed Stephen Taylor from the History Channel's 'Treasure hunters' to showcase some of his finds and talk to KS3 about life on the Home Front in WW2.
Once again, Year R, Year 1 and Year 2 proved that they have the true Leicester High indomitable spirit when braving the elements to see the lambing at Brooksby-Melton College.
This year the Leicester High School girls will be performing Oliver! on the 20th, 21st, and 22nd March at 7pm. We would be delighted if you would join us for this production.
Girls from Years 8 and 9 are taking part in Young Enterprise's Tenner Challenge. Over four weeks the girls will use £10 pledges to get their student business ideas off the ground and make as much profit as they can.
On Wednesday 7 February there was an air of excitement and anticipation as the EYFS Unit celebrated and learnt about the Year of the Dog with numerous activities.
On Saturday 20 January two teams of three Year 7s took part in the Rotary Youth Speaks Semi-final round of this year’s competition.
